ARKAN Membership You are invited to join ARKAN. The Amateur Radio Klub of the Arkansas Northwest (ARKAN) is an organization for anyone interested in amateur radio. Club members of all ages (and their families) socialize and provide public service and educational opportunities for the Northwest Arkansas area. The club actively provides radio communication for local events including Airfest, parades and other public events. You do not have to be a licensed amateur radio operator to join in the fun. A membership application can be found at the end of every newsletter. Dues are $20 per year for the first membership and $5 for each additional membership due at the first of the year. Meeting Information ARKAN Meetings are held at 7:00 p.m. local time on the fourth Monday of each month at the Arkansas Air Museum located at Drake Field on Highway 71 South in Fayetteville. Map to Drake Field. Printable PDF If necessary a meeting may be held at another location if there is a special program or a need to do so. The club also holds a "Second Saturday" event monthly that focuses on projects or other ham radio and technical/educational opportunities. Watch the home page for information on these events. |
