Join us on Wednesday evening at 7 PM local time for the "Emergency Communicators Forum" on 443.650 for informal discussions and information about EMCOMM. Also, on Tuesday evening at 9 PM local time is the Arkansas Link Net where links are made to more than 30 repeaters throughout the state of Arkansas. It's experimental, unpredictable, educational and a new experience. Be patient and join the fun! |
| IMPORTANT: You will hear no courtesy tones on these machines because they are linked. To compensate, the squelch tails are very short. Wait a second after you key the microphone before you talk or else you will truncate the first bit of your transmission. Likewise, hesitate a second after you finish talking before unkeying. Yup, I know, it's a new habit to learn. |
