- This service will begin on August 7th. Whether or not this service continues depends up the amount of interest and activity shown.
- The swap net will be open to all amateur radio operators in the area.
- Items listed must be amateur radio related. In other words, use common sense.
- Be sure to give a good description of the item(s). Just giving model numbers is really not sufficient. Remember there are a lot of new hams out there that don't have your level of knowledge. Useful and complete information means you have a better chance of selling the item. Let them know whats included with the item, what shape it's in, etc.
- ARKAN reserves the right to refuse a listing if it is not appropriate.
- Please limit items to those that you possess. Please do not list items belonging to relatives or friends who live outside this area. Let's keep it simple.
- You may list items by email or on the air during the Thursday Night Talk & Traffic Net. No prices will be discussed on the air during the net. After the net is okay, just not during the net.
- Email addresses, phone numbers and other information will be kept as confidential as possible. We must respect and protect members and guests who use this service. Your email address or phone number will only be listed if want it to be listed.
- ARKAN assumes no responsibility for the quality of items or the honesty of those who buy and/or sell items through the ARKAN Swap Net. If you have a gripe work it out with the buyer/seller. We're not trying to compete with eBay!
- Requests for a listing should be emailed to swap[ at ]arkanhams.org. You will receive an automatic response acknowledging your request. You must manually address the email. This is to prevent webbots from scanning the website for spammers.
